Every parent knows how challenging it can be to get kids to help out around the house. Whether its making their bed or sweeping up the kitchen, kids can be stubborn. And lets face it, who really likes to do chores anyway?
Not only do kids need to take care of their own belongings and personal space, but they should be able to help out around the house and do chores as well. Chores not only teach kids how to become more independent, they also help kids feel part of the family as a whole.
While some kids are ready to do their own laundry at age 5, some aren’t quite up to the challenge yet. Knowing your child’s capabilities and maturity level will help guide you into the realm of housework- and then get started! Kids are capable!
